Practice Vision

I thoroughly enjoy working with children, adolescents, and adults. My practice includes both therapy and medication management. I believe that treatment for children and youth should occur in the context of the family; I will often work with parents, helping coach the parents on how to work “in the moment” at home in managing their child’s presenting concerns. I believe that change does not occur solely in my office, and that it requires commitment and practice outside of appointments. I will do my best to support you and/or your child outside of sessions via use of books, worksheets, websites, and other relevant community resources to be used in conjunction with our face-to-face work. My goal is to help you and your family achieve the best possible outcomes.

I do not participate in any insurance plans. I have chosen to work independently from insurance companies as I feel that being contracted with an insurance plan limits my ability to provide the best, most comprehensive care for the patient and their family; many of the services I offer (such as working with parents and long-term individual therapy with children) are not covered by insurance or are limited to a "cookie-cutter" amount of visits per calendar year. Each person presenting to me for help is individual, and each person receives an individualized treatment plan based on what I believe will be most helpful at achieving their goals. A receipt for each visit will be available via the patient portal, which the family is welcome to submit to their insurance company for reimbursement under their "out of network" coverage. I encourage patients and families to discuss any questions they may have about this policy with me.
